MUC Hold A Scholarship Award Ceremony for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese Students

On the evening of October 29th, the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship Award Ceremony and Freshman Meeting were held in Zhixing Hall. MUC Vice President Song Min attended the award ceremony.

During the conference of scholarships for Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, and overseas Chinese students in 2019 and the essay's winners of works encompassing the theme of "Building the Chinese Dream" for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwanese students were all announced at the conference. The four award-winning student representatives gave speeches regarding the awards they received either at the hall or remotely via video. They used their experience of studying and living at MUC to express their sincere love for and gratitude for the teachers and friends they met at the university.

Song Min issued award certificates to the students who won the scholarship, expressed sincere congratulations to the award-winning students, and warmly welcomed the arrival of the 2020 freshmen. Song Min mentioned that "I am very happy today. The first reason is that the old and new students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan of MUC can overcome many difficulties and inconveniences and safely and smoothly return to the university. It is not easy to see you again after the epidemic. It shows that everyone is right. The true love of MUC and its campus is more beautiful because of you. The second reason is that more and more Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan overseas students at MUC are getting scholarships from the Ministry of Education. This is because MUC has attracted more and more attention from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan overseas students, and the number of students is increasing year by year. Thirdly, through your speeches just now, we can see that the students have changed a lot. They are no longer the same, and everyone has grown up on this campus. She hoped that the students would always urge, accumulate more, and demonstrate verifiably that the spirit of "Rome was not built in a day" so that excellence becomes a habit and is integrated into this exquisite and beautiful campus as soon as possible. Everyone's own learning and life experience is passed on to other people, so that the school motto of "respective beauty, unity of knowledge and action" is sublimated."

Relevant functional departments of MUC and the student work leaders of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Overseas Chinese Training College also attended the award ceremony.
