MUC Delegation Brings "Most Dazzling National Style" while in Southern Thailand

On January 18th, the Chinese Consulate General in Songka held a reception for the Spring Festival of 2020 in Heai City, in Songka Prefecture. More than 1000 representatives from overseas Chinese, Chinese funded institutions, Chinese volunteer teachers and overseas students have enjoyed a feast of splendid traditional Chinese culture. Instructors and Students of MUC demonstrated a "most dazzling national style" while in Southern Thailand.


Ma Fengchun, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Songka, and his wife, Nippon, Deputy Minister of the Interior of Thailand, Suriyapan, Deputy Fu Yin of Songka, Zhang Jungui, Chairman of the Thai Chinese Federation of Overseas Chinese Groups in Dongka, and Lin Songxi, Chairman of the Joint Disaster Relief Agency of the 14th Government of Southern Thailand all attended the performance.



"MUC is one of the famous universities in China. The beauty of the culture of each ethnic group in China displayed on MUC's campus has its uniqueness and represents itself with diversity and integrity,forming the splendid culture of the Chinese nation." Ma Fengchun pointed out that this year marks the 45th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. China is willing to continue to work with Thailand to build a more close and friendly comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, work hard for the benefit of common people of both countries, promote the construction of a new type of international relations and a community of shared destiny for all mankind, and moreover to build China-Thailand relations as a model of China's relations with neighboring countries in the future.



Huang Yushan is a singer in the tour group. "I'm very moved to be able to sing the Zhuang folk songs of my hometown to the overseas Chinese and friends in Thailand," she said. It is a happy thing to be the spokesman of Chinese traditional culture. "



"Art performances give us the taste of Chinese New Year and make us feel the warmth of home when the new year comes." Said Yang undergraduate, a staff member of the consulate.



Fan Bo, head of the tour group, clarified that MUC, relying on its disciplinary advantages, has been carrying out the "Splendid China, Charming Minda - Chinese National Culture Going Out" project since 2017, promoting the overseas performances of national arts, cultural relics, intangible cultural heritage, etc., introducing the fine culture of all ethnic groups in China to the world, and enhancing mutual learning of Chinese and foreign civilizations and people to people exchanges. So far, the delegation has visited Australia, the United States, New Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu, Belgium and other countries.
