MUC Holds Video Conference with City University of Macao to Discuss Cooperation

In the afternoon of July 2, MUC held a video conference with the City University of Macao. MUC Vice President Song Min attended the meeting to discuss cooperation between the two universities with Zhou Wanlei, Vice President of City University of Macao, and Li Shuying, Associate Vice President.

At the meeting, the leaders of the two universities respectively introduced both schools' development overview and future talent training plan. The participants discussed the school-running cooperation between the two universities regarding intended majors. The two sides reached a statement of intention for cooperative school running in terms of big data and intelligence services, social services and health care, and are rapidly implementing the relevant details of the application process.

Heads of the Global Exchange Office, Department of Innovative Social Work and Data Science Research Institute of City University of Macao, and heads of the MUC School of Ethnology and Sociology, MUC School of Information Engineering, the MUC Development Planning Office as well as the MUC Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office all attended the meeting.

 

City University of Macao, formerly known as the Private University of East Asia founded in 1981, was renamed City University of Macao in 2011. It is one of the four comprehensive universities in Macao that carry out all-round "undergraduate, master, and doctoral" education. The Ministry of Education approved the university to recruit full-time postgraduates in the mainland in 2004 and full-time undergraduates in the mainland in 2012. At present, there are 10 colleges, including the School of Business, the School of International Tourism and Management, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Education, the School of Continuing Education, the School of Innovation school, and the Public College. City University of Macao signed a cooperation agreement with MUC in 2016. MUC can recommend undergraduate graduates to go to City University of Macao to undertake master's degree yearly.
