Dr. Sue-Ann Harding from Queen's University of Belfast, UK, Invited to the School of Foreign Studies for Academic Lectures

From October 15th to 23rd, Dr. Sue-Ann Harding from Queen's University of Belfast, UK was invited to give a series of lectures at the School of Foreign Studies. Instructors, doctoral students, graduate students and some undergraduates from the translation major of the school attended the lecture.

Dr. Sue-Ann Harding is a senior lecturer in the Translation Department at Queen's University in Belfast, UK. She is also a commentator in the international journalTranslatorand a member of the International Advisory Board of the Baker Translation and Intercultural Studies Center at Shanghai Jiaotong University. Her research interests focus on translation studies from the perspective of social narratology and translation and conflict studies. In recent years, Dr. Sue-Ann has gained an international reputation in the field of translation studies and has been invited to teach and speak at several national and international universities.

She conducted a series of lectures including “New Trends within Translation Research”, “Research Narrative: Theory, Data and Research Work”, “How to Utilize Narrative Theory”, “Tell Me What is a Story”, “Fanon in Saudi Arabia and Russia”, “Where is Our Body?” and “Academic Essays Publications are in the Writing”.

This series of lectures offered students and teachers new understandings and perspectives regarding translation research.
